Social Recreation, Special Interest/Wellness Classes and
    Co-Sponsorship Programs provide opportunities to
his/her own level of functioning.  Programs and activities
are positive, achievable and non-competitive oriented
focusing on one's ABILITIES rather than disabilities

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists and qualified Therapeutic Recreation Staff ensure the highest quality and knowledge of therapeutic modalities and intervention. Enthusiastic teams of Therapeutic Recreation Leaders serve as positive role models and are prepared to meet the social and recreational needs of individuals with disabilities. Disabilities served include, but are not limited to, developmental disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, neurological disabilities, aphasia, hearing/visual impairments and emotional/behavioral challenges.

There are a variety of social recreation programs offering participants (ages 4 - 65+) an opportunity to experience recreational activities in a positive, fun and welcoming environment. Activities may include group games, music, fitness/exercise, arts and crafts, dancing, creative dramatics, table games, sports and more. Program goals emphasize social and physical development. There are also special interest programs including social interest clubs by age range, dance programs, exercise programs, swimming, and more. For more information on the programs offered and staff-to-participant ratios, see the information in the current Recreation Activities Guide, TRS Fall 2017 Newsletter, and TRS Fall/Winter 2017 Mini Sessions.

Registration begins online August 22nd for Residents and August 24th for Non-Residents!

Please note:  Before the start of each session, all participants are required to have an updated TRS Registration form on file.  Click here to download the TRS Registration form (Adobe PDF).
