| Education equivalent to completion
of the eighth grade and no experience is required. |

| Typical Duties |
| Under general supervision,
performs routine work collecting and delivering documents and materials
to and within City departments and in processing outgoing mail ; receives
and collects inter-office mail and similar documents; sorts and delivers
mail and other materials to offices; packs, unpacks, and transports
various cartons; maintains simple records; drives passenger vehicle
or light truck to transport mail, documents or other objects; completes
errands; may transmit verbal instructions; meter's and processes outgoing
mail; operates simple office equipment, including a power paper cutter;
occasionally performs unskilled duties in the City's print shop; and
performs other related duties as required. |

| Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities |
| Satisfactory ability to:
follow written and oral instructions, accurately sort documents and
other materials using a variety of systems, such as alphabetical or
numerical; pack or unpack cartons; maintain simple records; operate
light vehicles and establish and maintain effective working relationships
with others. |
