| Santa Clarans Honored For Outstanding Holiday Decorations |

Santa Clara, Calif. – December 15, 2005 – Nine homes have been recognized by the City of Santa Clara for outstanding decorations in the 20th Annual Holiday Decorations Awards program. Nominations made by the community were reviewed by volunteers from the Santa Clara Senior Center. Awards were based on originality, use of lighting, color, and festive mood. | The Layton Court Neighborhood was selected to receive a neighborhood award for their holiday decorations, and an honorable mention was given to the Taper Avenue neighborhood. The best tree award went to the Best Family at 2976 Taper Ave.
Winners will receive Certificates of Appreciation at the Tuesday, January 10, 2006 City Council meeting, City Hall, 1500 Warburton Avenue in Santa Clara. Members of the public are encouraged to attend. |
