Santa Clara, CA – June 8, 2005
The City of Santa Clara will host the annual 4th of
July celebration at Central Park, 969 Kiely Boulevard
on Monday, July 4, 2005 from 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
Bring family and friends and start the day with
a pancake breakfast from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
followed by a flag dedication ceremony and dynamic
dancing by the Santa Clara Parks and Recreation Dancers.
Special performances by the Sizzling Seniors and the
jump rope troupe Jumping for Joy will be featured
in the afternoon. Harpo Slim and the Prowlers, an
upbeat blues dance band, will be performing on the
Pavilion Stage followed by the Bay Area’s top
70s, 80s, and 90s cover band The Cheeseballs. Enjoy
delicious food and plenty of activities for all including
a Cosmo Jump, carnival games, face painting, petting
zoo, swimming, and more. In the evening, enjoy entertainment
from Buchser Middle School Advanced Jazz Band and
the Alumni De’ja’ vu Band, directed by
David Ladd Anderson. The finale will be a fantastic
Fireworks Extravaganza at 9:30 p.m. with patriotic
music and a sky ablaze with colors and special effects—an
event not to be missed!
