This facility offers a variety of venues and services to the teen community. The huge multi-purpose room, with patio, includes a snack café, game alcove, and lounge area where teens can play and socialize. Two classrooms are open for recreation classes, group projects, or as a silent study area. The conference room is used by the Santa Clara Youth Commission for their monthly meetings and may also be used by other teen organizations needing a place to meet. Our technology lab is on the cutting edge! Scan, Print, or Surf ‘til your heart’s content. A Resident Youth Card is required. The Parks and Recreation Department’s dedicated and caring team of dynamic recreation leaders and staff create a safe environment that empowers teens to develop interpersonal skills, enhance self-esteem, and promote an atmosphere where respect, honesty, and responsibility are core values. It is the hope of the Santa Clara Youth Commission that the Teen Center will minimize unhealthy, risk-taking behaviors among their peers.
