Standard Details

In order to ensure uniformity in the construction of both public works and private infrastructure improvements in the City of Santa Clara, the City's Department of Public Works has established a set of Standard Details. These details encompass most of the elements common to the majority of construction projects such as residential or commercial driveways, sanitary sewer clean-outs, landscape trenching details, etc.

The Standard Details document in full, and each of the individual detail pages, can be viewed through the links, below. The Standard Details documents may also be purchased in book form for $23 from the Permit Center located in the West Wing of City Hall at 1500 Warburton Avenue, or call (408) 615-3000 to place an order. There is a $5 shipping charge for mailing any order.
