| The Basics of the Curbside Recycling Program |
- The City of Santa Clara (CSC) oversees the curbside recycling
program, and the pick up is currently contracted out to
Stevens Creek Disposal & Recycling (SCDR).
- A minimal cost for the curbside recycling program is included
in the monthly single-family residence solid waste bill.
- The recycling is picked up weekly on the same day as your
Garbage and Clean Green collection. If you are unsure of
your pick-up day, please call SCDR at (408) 970-5100, or
the CSC's Recycling Coordinator at (408) 615-2063.
- If you need to request new or additional recycling bins,
call SCDR at (408) 970-5100.
- If your recycling was not picked up on your regular collection
day, please call SCDR at (408) 970-5100, or the CSC Recycling
Coordinator at (408) 615-2063.
- If you have extra recyclables (and you are a Santa Clara
resident) you can take your items to the South Bay Regional
Office of Stevens Creek Disposal and Recycling located at
650 Martin Avenue (nearest cross street is Lafayette), Monday
through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call (408) 970-5100
for more information.
- Scavenging materials from recycle bins that have been
set out for collection by SCDR is a misdemeanor offense.
You may report scavengers to the Santa Clara Police non-emergency
dispatch number at (408) 615-5580.
