The City of Santa Clara has a long tradition of best-in-class public services and a well-maintained infrastructure. Extensive parks, playgrounds, open space, creek and bicycle trails, and recreational amenities offer opportunities to please any age or skill ability. The City has owned and operated its own

electric, water and sewer utilities for over a century. In addition, the City provides outstanding emergency services including Police, Fire and emergency 9-1-1 personnel. Santa Clara has also implemented programs to maintain and preserve existing housing affordable to low and moderate-income groups, as well as add new units of affordable housing.
