451 El Camino Real - University Station Residential

Project Description

The proposed project includes demolishing of approximated 216,000 square feet of existing commercial buildings along with parking garages, existing utilities and trees to construct a new residential neighborhood featuring market-rate and affordable apartments and market-rate and affordable condominium townhouses, new utilities, and new trees on a 10.2-acre site. 

The apartment community will consist of a 5-story residential building with 297 units, wrapping around a structured garage, and offering courtyards and amenities for residents. Additionally, the project includes 98 townhouses, each 3-stories tall, designed in 6-plex and 4-plex configurations. The community will feature landscaped areas, common open space, and private balconies to enhance the resident’s living experience. 

The architectural design and material palette are inspired by Santa Clara’s history of orchards and the property’s past as a cannery.
