1400 Coleman Avenue - Coleman Village

Project Description

The proposal is to construct 143 for-sale solar all electric attached four-story townhomes on a 3.8-acre existing industrial parcel. The project proposed studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom townhomes ranging from 377 square feet to 1,750 square feet in size. The proposal requires a General Plan Amendment and a Rezoning from Light Industrial to High Density Residential.  The proposed project provides two-car garages and surface parking for a total of 246 parking spaces. The project will provide on-site affordable housing with over 30% of the for-sale dwelling units being restricted for very low, low- and moderate-income households.

March 31, 2025

City Ventures held a hybrid community meeting on the proposed project consists of a wide range of homes from studios, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units to help attract a variety of new homeowners. With a total of 143 for-sale solar all-electric townhome style homes, access to the project will be via a pedestrian oriented urban streetscape lined with benches, trees and landscaped paseos that are interconnected throughout. The project also includes onsite affordable housing options with curated outdoor meeting gathering areas to provide a true community feel. City staff attended to accept feedback.

Oct. 10, 2024

City Ventures held a hybrid community meeting exploring a development to construct an approximate 148 for-sale solar, all electric units including podium style and traditional townhomes with one and two-car garages in addition to ADUs. The project includes open spaces and a 15% on-site affordable housing component. The 3.78 ac site is located at APN 230-05-021 (1400 Coleman Avenue). City staff attended to accept feedback.
