2610 El Camino Real - Moonlite Residential

Architectural rendering of a modern multi-story residential building with large windows, a mix of brick and light-colored paneling, and tree-lined sidewalks. Pedestrians are walking along the street, and cars are driving by under a blue sky with scattered clouds

Project Description

Redevelopment of the existing 14.34-acre site of the Moonlite Center located at 2610 El Camino Real. The proposed development is a housing complex with 601 dwelling units and over 60,000 square feet of open space. Approximately 27% of below-market-rate rental apartments are included in the overall development.

Three, 6-7 story buildings are located along El Camino Real:

  • Two condominium buildings with 140 and 136 units each
  • One below market rate rental apartment building with 166 units
  • Parking is provided internally with two-level garages that are lined with active uses on the ground floors facing the streets.

Along the southern half of the site, the new development includes:

  • 159 three-story townhomes similar in scale to the recent Moonlite Lanes Townhome Project on Kiely Boulevard.
  • The townhomes include private entrances at the ground floor and two-car private garages

The new development is anchored around a central plaza linking El Camino Real with the core of the development. The central open space transitions from urban uses fronting along El Camino Real to a more neighborhood residential park towards the center.
