Wednesday, January 14, 4 - 5:30 p.m.
Redwood Room - Central Park Library -
All ages welcome
Join us for a powerful community celebration honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Local leaders, educators, and youth will come together to present a choral reading of the historic “I Have a Dream” speech, highlighting its enduring message of hope, justice, and equality. City Manager Jōvan Grogan will serve as Master of Ceremonies, guiding the program and opening the reading with the first passage of the speech. This uplifting program invites attendees to reflect on Dr. King’s vision and the ongoing work toward civil rights and community unity. All participants will have a chance to read a passage at the end together. Registration not required, for a reminder sign up on Eventbrite. This event is in partnership with the Cultural Commission.

This event is sponsored by the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) and the ALA Office for Diversity, Literacy and Outreach Services (ODLOS)  for the National Day of Racial Healing. Support generously sponsored in partnership with the Santa Clara City Foundation and Friends

Your attendance to this program grants permission to the City of Santa Clara to take your photograph and/or your child's photograph for marketing purposes.
