Worm Composting Basics Workshop

  • Date: 07/25/2026 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Help your plants and veggies thrive by learning how to build, maintain, and troubleshoot a worm bin that you can use for vermicomposting. Composting improves soil structure, increases the absorption of moisture, supplies soil with nutrients for plants and reduces erosion while decreasing what goes to landfill.

The City is hosting a composting basics workshop on Saturday, July 25, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at the Everett "Eddie" N Souza Neighborhood Park located at 2380 Monroe St. A master composter will teach residents how to build, maintain and troubleshoot a home compost bin and apply the finished compost.

Space is limited and registration is required. To sign up for the workshop visit Community Workshops in Your Neighborhood | Santa Clara County Cooperative Extension

For more information, please contact the Department of Public Works at Environment@SantaClaraCA.gov or 408-615-3080.
