Building Electrification and Electric Vehicle Reach Codes Virtual Workshop
- Date: 06/10/2020 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
- Location: Virtual - Zoom details below
What are Reach Codes?
Every three years, cities and counties across the state adopt the new Building Standards Code (Standards) or Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations. Reach Codes are local building energy codes that “reach” beyond the state minimum requirements for energy use in building design and construction. By doing so, opportunities are created for local governments to pave the way on clean air, climate solutions and renewable energy opportunities, while creating a roadmap for other local government agencies to take action as well.
Who should attend?
Reach Codes have been filed with the California Energy Commission and if approved, will go into effect in July 2020. Learn how the proposed Reach Codes will affect Santa Clara residents and businesses.
Potential attendees include local building industry (developers, trades), advocates and City staff.
