Visiting Agnews Historical Cemetery & Museum

The Agnews Historical Cemetery Museum is open for visits on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

About Agnews Historic Cemetery

  • This cemetery was first used after 1906, with burials continuing through the 1960s.
  • There are no burials from the 1906 earthquake at this cemetery.
  • Forty-one of the earthquake victims from Agnews are buried at Mission City Memorial Park, located on Winchester Boulevard.
  • There is a dedicatory plaque to these earthquake victims located near the Mission City Memorial Park offices.

About the Museum

  • A museum to remember the lives of the people that worked and lived at the Agnews State Hospital and later Agnews Developmental Center from 1888 to 2009.
  • Artifacts and photos of the past are displayed for the public to view.
