Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority's seeking community feedback on governance practices
Provide feedback on how VTA is governing in relation to bus ridership, light rail and more
The City of Santa Clara is sharing the following information that's been provided by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) about seeking public input on its governance practices.
According to VTA, this is an opportunity for the public to provide feedback on how VTA is governing in relation to: bus ridership, light rail, highways, bike and pedestrian pathways, congestion management, and countywide transportation planning.
There are several platforms available for the public to participate on this topic:
1. VTA’s independent study consultant, RSM, will host an in-person community meeting (open to the public):
Date: Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019
Time: 7 p.m. PST
Location: County Government Building, 70 West Hedding Street, San Jose, CA 95110
2. RSM will also be conducting a virtual town hall webinar - a live interactive webinar that's open to the public and will allow for comments or questions. (The webinar will also be recorded so community members can watch at their convenience in any location).
Date: Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019 – (Webinar recording will be available through Dec. 6, 2019)
Time: Noon-1 p.m. PST

*Registrants will receive the YouTube Live link in confirmation and reminder emails, and view the town hall live at that link.
3. There is a dedicated voicemail for members of the public to leave anonymous and confidential feedback.

4. A webpage and survey has been dedicated to this effort to provide more details and gain feedback.

RSM’s findings and recommendations will be presented at VTA's Dec. 20, 2019 Ad Hoc Board Enhancement Committee meeting.
