Driving Under the Influence – Felony       Location: Bowers Avenue and Central Expressway

Public Safety Dispatchers received a report of a female subject driving erratically, following the subject in a vehicle and yelling, causing a disturbance in the area of Bowers Avenue and Central Expressway.

Public Safety Dispatchers provided the reporting party with instructions to drive to the Police Building. As the subject approached El Camino Real and Benton Street, officers initiated a traffic enforcement stop. The subject pulled up to the restricted gate access to the facility.

Upon contact, the subject was speaking incoherently and was extremely agitated. She displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of a stimulate. A search of her person yielded drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance. A search of the vehicle yielded an open container of alcohol. A Records check revealed the subject is on parole and had multiple prior DUI arrests. She was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Residential Burglary            Location: 700 Block of Agnew Road

Sometime between 11/27/19 and 12/2/19, an unknown suspect(s) pried open the patio sliding door of the apartment on the 700 block of Agnew Road. The suspect entered the apartment and stole several items.

A friend of the victim was checking the residence while the victim was out of down. The friend discovered the apartment had been broken into and contacted Public Safety Dispatchers. The suspect(s) stole two laptops, cash and credit cards. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Warrant Arrest                                  Location:  2100 Block of Main Street

Public Safety Dispatchers received a call for service on the 2100 block of Main Street on the report of a possible residential burglary in progress. The reporting party stated there was an unknown female subject sleeping in the bedroom.

Upon arrival, officers contacted the female subject. Officers learned the subject was seeking shelter from the rain, and thought the residence was vacant because the fence was partially knocked down presumably as a result of the storm. The subject entered the backyard and didn’t see anyone in the residence. She removed the window screen and entered the residence. A Record check revealed the subject had a misdemeanor warrant. She was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Vandalism                                         Location: 4200 Block of Great America Parkway

An employee at a business on the 4200 block of Great America Parkway observed a suspicious male subject looking in parked vehicles. The employee contacted Public Safety Dispatchers for police response.

Upon arrival, the officer observed three vehicles with broken windows. The officer located one of the victims, determined there was nothing stolen and took a police report for the vandalism.

Grand Theft                                       Location: 3000 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard

A Loss Prevention Specialist contacted Public Safety Dispatchers regarding a prior incident of shoplifting.

A male subject entered the store, selected multiple items and left without paying.  The value of the stolen items was estimated at $1,705. The suspect remains at large.

Theft from a Vehicle                      Location: 3700 Block of El Camino Real

Between 0900 hours and 0947 hours, a theft from a vehicle occurred on the 3700 block of El Camino Real.

The unknown suspect(s) gained access into the victim's vehicle by breaking the front passenger side window. The unknown suspect(s) stole a computer bag that contained electronics and $4,000 in cash. The unknown suspect(s) fled the scene and remain at large.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol     Location: El Camino Real and Accolti Way

An officer observed a vehicle traveling on El Camino Real near Harrison Street with its tail-lights off. The vehicle turned into the Santa Clara University campus on Accolti Way and failed to stop for a stop sign. The officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop.

As the officer approached the vehicle, the odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by two female subjects.

The driver was issued a notice to appear for driving without her vehicle’s headlights activated at night and lack of current evidence of insurance. The passenger was issued a notice to appear for being under the age of twenty-one in possession of an open container of alcohol.
