National Association of Town Watch Recognizes Santa Clara Community for National Night Out

The City of Santa Clara was selected for a national award 2019 – Recognizing Outstanding Participation in “America’s Night Out Against Crime"  by the National Association of Town Watch.

The award recognizes the Santa Clara Police Department, and the broader community, for the coordination of National Night Out. National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes police community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. In 2019, the Department registered 54 registered event locations and an estimated 2,480 residents participated in this true community event. Approximately, 40 Police Department employees and volunteers, Fire Department personnel, staff from the City Manager's Office, the Mayor and City Council members engaged with the community under positive circumstances.
