April 1, 2020 is Census Day
Fill out your 2020 Census today, and make sure that Santa Clara Counts!
April 1, 2020 is Census Day, and this means that the 2020 Census is officially underway.
Each household should have received an invitation to fill out the Census in one of three ways: online, by phone or by mail. Responding to the Census helps communities get funding for school lunch programs, medical treatment, housing services, education and more. The current COVID-19 outbreak and shelter-in-place order has impacted some Census activities, but households can still fill out the questionnaire in the privacy of their own home. Visit my2020census.gov to respond online or call 844-330-2020 to complete the survey by phone. Both options include a choice of 13 languages with additional translation guides available online.
Follow along to see how many Santa Clarans have responded! Below are a few response rates, but more can be found on the 2020 Census website:
- Santa Clara = 46.2%
- Santa Clara County = 45.7%
- California = 37.9%
- United States = 39.4%
