129th Rescue Wing Flyover on Memorial Day

On Monday, May 25, the California Air National Guard 129th Rescue Wing will perform two flyovers between 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The flyovers demonstrate the United States Air Force continued readiness and expresses gratitude to the essential personnel on the frontlines in the fight against COVID-19. 

The flyovers are scheduled to takeoff from, and return to, Moffett Air National Guard Base in Mountain View. The aerial formation will include one HC-130J Combat King II aircraft and two HH-60G Pave Hawk rescue helicopters and will pass over north and south Bay Area medical facilities. In addition, a single HC-130J Combat King aircraft, also set to begin from Moffett, will perform a flyover and pass over Central and Salinas Valley area. The full schedule is below; times are subject to change based on weather and environmental considerations. As a result of the flyover, aircraft noise is anticipated. 

Residents should be able to see the flyover from the safety of their homes and should maintain all shelter-in-place and social distancing guidelines during the event. Please refrain from traveling to landmarks, hospitals or gathering in large groups to view the flyover.
