The Santa Clara Police Officers Association (SCPOA) recently sent a mailer to all businesses within the City of Santa Clara soliciting donations. The SCPOA is an employee association representing police officers, and it has no affiliation with the City of Santa Clara or the Santa Clara Police Department.

The City of Santa Clara provides police services to its residents and businesses. Any donations collected by the SCPOA are not provided to the City of Santa Clara. The Santa Clara Police Department prides itself on the service it provides to the community regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. The presence of a sticker decal or a monetary donation will never affect that level of service.
