Warburton Park, located at 2250 Royal Drive, will soon receive major upgrades, including a new playground, picnic facilities, expanded outdoor basketball court, fitness station, walking loop and other community-focused amenities. The design also includes at least 69 new Saratoga Laurel, Crape Myrtle and Western Redbud trees.
As part of the park rehabilitation, 32 redwood trees located beneath existing Silicon Valley Power utility lines will be removed to mitigate long-term maintenance and safety challenges that cannot be resolved by trimming alone. Tree removal will occur between October 14 – 24, 2025, ahead of upcoming winter storms, by Davey Tree and Bay Area Tree Specialists. For safety reasons, a significant portion of the park’s large grass area will not be available for public use during the tree removal process.
Warburton Park improvements are being made possible by residents ongoing investment in Santa Clara’s parks by supporting Measure I General Obligation Bond to create a safe, inclusive and vibrant amenities for residents.
