Santa Clara Unveils 246 Street Banners Celebrating City’s Role as Host of Super Bowl LX and FIFA World Cup 2026TM

“Where the Mission Meets the Moment” Branding Highlights Santa Clara as the Only U.S. City Hosting Both Major Sporting Events

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The City of Santa Clara today unveiled 246 vibrant street banners along El Camino Real, showcasing the city’s “Where the Mission Meets the Moment” campaign and reinforcing Santa Clara’s unique position as the only U.S. city hosting both Super Bowl LX in February 2026 and FIFA World Cup matches in June and July 2026.

The eye-catching banners feature Santa Clara’s distinctive “26” logo across six themed designs—Legacy, Community, Tech, Future, and Rooted in history. It is paired with the new City slogan “Where the Mission Meets the Moment,” which represents facets of the city’s identity and its role on the world stage.

“These banners are more than decorations. They’re a bold statement of Santa Clara’s identity as a world-class host city,” said Mayor Lisa M. Gillmor. “As the only city in America preparing to welcome both the Super Bowl and the FIFA World Cup in 2026, Santa Clara is ready to showcase our community, our innovation, and our hospitality to hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the globe. ‘Where the Mission Meets the Moment’ captures our city’s unique ability to honor our historic roots while stepping onto the world’s biggest stages.”

The banners stretch along one of Silicon Valley’s most traveled corridors, ensuring maximum visibility as the city prepares for an unprecedented year of international attention. Super Bowl LX will take place at Levi’s Stadium on February 8, 2026, followed by six FIFA World Cup matches at the same venue from June 13 through July 2, 2026.

“Santa Clara has long demonstrated its ability to host world-class events, with Levi’s Stadium serving as a global stage for premier competition—and 2026 will be our most ambitious year yet,” said City Manager Jōvan D. Grogan. "These banners are the first visible spark of our Where the Mission Meets the Moment campaign, a celebration of our community coming together as we prepare to host two of the world’s biggest sporting events. They reflect our shared pride, our excitement, and the start of a community-wide celebration. This is Santa Clara’s moment to shine, together.”

Santa Clara’s host city status for both events positions the city uniquely among U.S. destinations. While 16 cities across three countries will host FIFA World Cup matches, Santa Clara stands alone as the only city also hosting the Super Bowl in the same year—a convergence of global sporting spectacles expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors and generate significant economic impact.

The “Where the Mission Meets the Moment” campaign will continue throughout 2026 with additional community events, partnerships, and activations designed to highlight Santa Clara’s role as host city and ensure the community benefits from both historic events.
