Safety and security associated with Super Bowl LX will require temporary closure of roads and the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail next to Levi’s Stadium. The proposed closures will occur in three phases, the first of which is currently undergoing review through the City’s permitting process.
- Phase 1* (Jan. 5 – Feb. 22): Stars and Stripes Drive will be closed to public traffic, including the ramp from Tasman Drive and the bike path along the corridor. Shuttles, parking and rideshare pickup/drop-off associated with the Great America Rail Station will be relocated to the east (Tasman East Area) for the duration of the closure.
- Phase 2* (Jan. 28 – Feb. 10): Tasman Drive will close to through traffic between Great America Parkway and Calle Del Sol. Bike and vehicle traffic will be detoured around the closure. The San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail will be closed from Jan. 28-Feb. 10.
- Phase 3* (Feb. 8): Great America Parkway will close between Bunker Hill Lane and Patrick Henry Drive. Other closures will include Old Ironside and Old Glory Lane.
*Subject to change pending City permitting review and approval
The proposed closures will impact access to the Great America Rail Station, the Youth Soccer Park, the San Tomas Aquino Trail, and other city facilities. A temporary Capital Corridor/ACE train station parking lot, located in the Tasman East Area, has been leased by the Bay Area Host Committee/NFL to accommodate parking and commuter shuttle operations during the road closures. ADA transportation will be provided to and from the temporary parking lot.
Traffic advisory message boards will be posted in advance of the closures, and detour routes for vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and train commuters, including shuttle boarding locations, will be provided.
