SANTA CLARA, Calif. – As the host city for Super Bowl LX, Santa Clara has been preparing for this moment for more than three years. Today, I want to speak clearly and directly to our community and to those across the country who will be joining us:
There are no planned ICE immigration enforcement operations associated with Super Bowl events in Santa Clara.
Any federal presence that visitors or residents may see during Super Bowl week is standard event security. It’s the same coordination that occurs at every Super Bowl and other major national events. That presence is focused solely on public safety: protecting fans, employees, athletes, and the surrounding community.
Our Santa Clara Police Department, Fire Department, and emergency management teams have been working in close coordination with regional, state, and federal partners to ensure a safe and successful event. They are fully staffed, fully trained, and fully prepared. This level of planning is not new; it reflects years of disciplined preparation and professional coordination.
But safety is not just about logistics. It is about how people feel.
As Mayor, I want every person in Santa Clara, residents, workers, business owners, and visitors, to feel safe celebrating with us. That includes the neighborhoods surrounding Levi’s Stadium, the small businesses that serve our community every day, and the families who call this city home.
Our community has carried the heavy lift of hosting. Our residents have navigated road closures, infrastructure improvements, public safety planning, and years of preparation so that the world can gather here. They deserve clarity. They deserve reassurance. And they deserve to enjoy this historic moment without fear or confusion.
Super Bowl LX is not just a football game. It is a global event that reflects the strength, diversity, and professionalism of our city. Santa Clara is proud to host the nation, and we are committed to doing so in a way that protects both the celebration inside the stadium and the community outside of it.
We look forward to welcoming fans from across the country and around the world. Our focus remains simple and unwavering: safety, professionalism, and ensuring that everyone can participate in this once-in-a-generation moment with confidence.
Santa Clara stands ready.
