The National Recreation and Park Association's (NRPA) annual Park and Recreation Month is observed each July and promotes building strong, vibrant and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation. This year's theme,
"The Power Of," celebrates the many ways parks and recreation can bring people together, support our health and strengthen communities.
On June 23, the Mayor and City Council officially proclaimed July as Park and Recreation Month in Santa Clara. Throughout the month, we'll recognize the power of connection, play, community, nature, belonging and well-being in improving the quality of life for all.
