The National Recreation and Park Association's (NRPA) annual Park and Recreation Month is observed each July and promotes building strong, vibrant and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation. This year's theme, "The Power Of," celebrates the many ways parks and recreation can bring people together, support our health and strengthen communities.

On June 23, the Mayor and City Council officially proclaimed July as Park and Recreation Month in Santa Clara. Throughout the month, we'll recognize the power of connection, play, community, nature, belonging and well-being in improving the quality of life for all.

Join us in July for a full lineup of events and activities that bring our community together!

4th of July Community Celebration
July 4 | 5-10 p.m. | Mission College, 3000 Mission College Blvd.
Celebrate Independence Day with Santa Clara! Stop by for a free, fun-filled evening of food trucks, family activities, and live entertainment. Bring blankets and lawn chairs for a relaxing picnic with family and friends and end the night with a spectacular fireworks show, courtesy of California’s Great America. Free Concerts in the Park

RJJT Presents Disney's Moana Jr.

Recreation Swim
Rec Swim is back at the Warburton and Mary Gomez Swim Centers this summer! Whether you’re swimming laps or just floating in the sun, it’s the perfect way to enjoy the season. Check out the swimming webpage for more information about dates, times, and rates.
