Mosquito Treatment for West Nile Virus | Aug. 4

West Nile Treatment AreaSanta Clara County Mosquito and Vector Control District will be conducting a mosquito treatment in Santa Clara, based on the detection of mosquitoes infected with West Nile virus.

  • Time: Starting at approximately 10 p.m. and lasting no more than 4 hours.

To lower the risk of a human infection, the County has scheduled an adult-mosquito-control treatment to target mosquitoes that can spread the virus through their bite and may cause serious illness to people and certain animals. Vector Control will be applying localized, targeted, ultra-low-volume mosquito treatment in Santa Clara using truck-mounted equipment.
