The Santa Clara Arts & Historical Consortium offers volunteers the opportunity to introduce visitors and history buffs to Santa Clara and its history. The Consortium is based in the historic Headen-Inman House at 1509 Warburton Avenue, and it operates a museum displaying a number of artifacts relating to Santa Clara. Museum docents are needed to open the museum on Sundays between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. (holidays and December excepted), and to guide guests around the Headen-Inman House.
No experience is required, only an interest in Santa Clara and its history. Docents operate in pairs, so volunteering with a friend maximizes the fun. A short training session is provided together with a script. Please drop by the Headen-Inman House to see first-hand the house and the museum. The house is located on the grounds shared with the Triton Museum of Art, across from the Santa Clara City Hall.
