Citizens' Advisory Committee

The Citizens’ Advisory Committee has been active in Santa Clara since the early 1960s. This independent group of community members has in their the purpose to recommend: a) the improvement and beautification of the community; b) actions to arrest potential blight areas; c) programs for developing interest in civic pride; d) input on Community Development Block Grant, the City budget and various City programs, including those managed by utility and public safety departments, e) coordinating a televised candidates’ forum for each election cycle; f) actions regarding specific problems concerning the City that are brought to the attention of the CAC; and g) actions on any matter of public interest.
