Environmental Volunteers promotes the understanding of and responsibility for the environment through hands-on science education. Each year, our volunteers teach 10,000 children through over 500 classroom programs and 125 field trips in Santa Clara & San Mateo counties. Classroom programs are offered to grades K-6 and meet State of California science education requirements.
Our volunteers are reliable, friendly individuals who are committed to inspiring a love of science and nature in future generations. Working in teams of 3 or 4, volunteers engage with small groups of elementary school children directly in a classroom setting, involving them in hands-on, discovery-based learning. No previous experience is necessary.
