Homelessness Prevention System (HPS)
The HPS helps low-income families or individuals in the County of Santa Clara who are at risk of losing their housing. Services include temporary financial assistance, legal support, case management, and other services. Learn more at preventhomelessness.org.
To find out if you qualify for assistance, schedule a pre-screening appointment by contacting Homelessness Prevention System:
- Phone: 408-296-8885
- Email: info@preventhomelessness.org
- Contact any of the participating agencies listed on the HPS flyer (PDF).
All agencies on the flyer can assist Santa Clara residents and are not limited by zip code. We recommend starting with The Salvation Army in San Jose or Sunnyvale Community Services. Their contact information, along with other homeless assistance/prevention programs, is in the Additional Resources section at the bottom of this page.
