Mills Act | Historic Property Preservation Agreement

The Mills Act is a tax incentive program for the restoration and preservation of qualified historic buildings by private property owners in California since 1972.

This program gives cities and counties the ability to contract with owners who actively take part in the restoration and maintenance of their historic properties. These owners will also get property tax relief by participating.
