Mission City Memorial Park

Mission City Memorial Park (MCMP) is owned and operated by the City of Santa Clara. The 25-acre, tree-studded site is available to any family looking for a final resting place for a loved one. All faiths are welcome. A non-denominational chapel is available, and graveside services are allowed.

Announcements

In celebration and recognition of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), MCMP is partnering with the Library on Friday October 24^th, 2025 for a special evening featuring a community ofrenda, storytelling, hands- on crafts, and a showing of Disney Pixar’s Coco (PG). In theme with the movie’s story about family, our connections to those who came before us, and the importance of remembering them, this event aims to share uplifting children’s activities and offer an educational piece about the holiday. Our top priority is that everyone stays safe and respectful, and the movie will be shown in the open “Evergreen Section” of the cemetery that does not house graves.

The Community Ofrenda opens to the public on Monday, October 6- Friday, November 10. Members of the community are welcome to bring: Framed photo(s) with names/label inside the frame, Frames no larger than 5 x7 inches, Other small mementos that remind families of their loved ones.

We ask the public to refrain from bringing candles, food or glass items.
