There is always something happening at the Senior Center. From drop-in activities for those who want to keep busy, to our library area for those wanting to relax and read a good book, there are many options.
Our Mission is to offer care-free travel for adults ages 50 and above. We provide accessible, reliable, and attractive travel opportunities throughout the Bay Area.

Trip Availability
- Residents of the City of Santa Clara may register the first day a trip is released.
- Non-residents may register one day after registration opens.
- Waitlists are created once a trip's capacity is reached.
- Those on the waitlist are called as space(s) become available. Only one attempt is made when contacting those on the waitlist before moving to the next person on the list.
- Trips not reaching the minimum enrollment required will be canceled.
Trip Attendance
- Only persons registered for a trip can attend.
- Participant substitutions are not allowed at time of check-in on day of trip.
- Travelers may register in person at the Santa Clara Senior Center or online and have a current Senior Center Registration and Release of Liability Form (PDF) on file.
Refund Policy
- Refunds will ONLY be provided when a replacement can be found from the ATG trip waitlist, or the trip is canceled by the Senior Center.
- Travel Insurance: The Santa Clara Senior Center recommends you consider travel insurance, especially for extended trips. Trip cancellation insurance may be purchased through: AAA, AARP, and an insurance provider of your preference.
Trip Pick-up/Drop-off
Trips leave from and return to 750 Reed Street, at the Reed & Grant Sports Park in Santa Clara. The motor coach will leave promptly at the time specified.
- Please check-in at least 15 minutes before the scheduled trip departure time.
- It is the responsibility of travelers to be on-time for any departure time(s).
Missed the Motor Coach?
- If for ANY reason you are unable to meet-up with your travel group at the meeting time and place, you will need to make your own travel arrangements at your cost.
- A travel escort is not able to stay behind with you for any situation that may arise.
Bingo
Bingo takes place Fridays in the auditorium. Doors open at 12:45 p.m. with the first game starting at 1 p.m. The final game will finish at 2:30 p.m. Prizes are awarded to winners. A Senior Center Membership is required to participate.

The following games are available at the Senior Center for those who have a Senior Center Membership. All equipment is available during normal facility hours and checked out at the Front Desk.

Books & Puzzles
Our fireplace lobby has a Lending Library where you can borrow and return books and puzzles.

You can sign up for classes in person at the Senior Center or online at santaclaraca.gov/activenet.
Our Computer Lab offers 14 personal computers using Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016. Individuals wishing to print can visit the front desk and scan their Senior Center Membership card to receive 10, 8.5 x 11 sheets of paper at no charge. Anything more than 10 pages are the responsibility of the user. Computers are unable to save work, so please provide your own storage.
You need to have a Santa Clara City Library card to log in to the computers. Register for a library card today. Computer use is limited to two hours per day.

Open to adults ages 50+ who are interested in completing small projects with minimal supervision.

Fitness Center
Come work out with us! Our 3,000 square foot Fitness Center has commercial quality cardiovascular and weight training equipment along with a stretching area for you to cool down after your workout. We also have a Nintendo Wii if you feel like playing an active video game.
Are you a beginner and not sure how to use the equipment? Staff is available to answer questions and show proper use of the equipment. We also offer a variety of fitness classes to get you going and moving!

Natatorium
Providing an excellent chance to get fit through aquatic exercise or just relax, our Natatorium is staffed with professionally trained lifeguards and has 3 indoor pools: A 3-lane lap pool (Length: 27' x 60', Depth: 3.5' - 5.5', 80 - 84 degrees F), warm water pool (Length: 21' x 21', Depth: 3' - 4', 90 - 94 degrees F) and warm-up pool (3' deep, 90 - 94 degrees F).

Requirements for Use of the Fitness Center & Natatorium

ID Fit Program
Santa Clara residents under the age of 50 with a qualifying disability or medical condition may use the Fitness Center and Natatorium. A completed Registration and Release of Liability Form is reviewed by Health & Wellness staff for approval. Ballroom dances are held every Tuesday from 12:45 - 2:45 p.m. Check-in will begin at 12:30 p.m. outside the auditorium. Admission varies based on the music provided. Individuals who have a Senior Center Membership can present their card at check-in. Those who don't have a Senior Center Membership will need to sign the liability form prior to the program.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Senior Center every Monday to Friday. The lunchtime program, co-sponsored by Santa Clara County and the City of Santa Clara, provides a nutritionally balanced lunch for individuals 60 years of age or older.
- Reservation required. Orders must be placed by 12 p.m. (noon) one business day prior to your requested reservation.
- Suggested meal contribution is $5 per meal. The amount of the contribution does not determine whether you receive a meal.
- Guests between the ages of 50 and 59 must pay a mandatory $9 per meal.
- Dining room opens for check-in and seating at 11 a.m.
- Meal service takes place from 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. (Dining room closes at 12:15 p.m.)
- Diners must check-in by 11:45 a.m. to receive your reserved meal. If you arrive after 11:45 a.m., you will be placed on the Stand-By list and will receive a meal, if one is still available.
- You must call to cancel your reservation or you may be removed from the reservation list and be placed on Stand-By for the remainder of the month.
