All transfer and withdrawal requests must be received within 10 business days’ before the start of the program(s). Requests can be made online or in-person at the Community Recreation Center or Senior Center. This policy covers classes, camps, workshops and activities operated by the City of Santa Clara Parks & Recreation Department.

Withdrawal Form: All withdrawal requests require 10 business days’ notice prior to the start of the activity to be considered for a refund. A $15 processing fee per transaction applies for all refunds. No refunds will be provided if the withdrawal request is made with less than 10 business days’ notice.

Transfer Form: All transfer requests require 10 business days’ notice prior to the start of the activity to be considered for a transfer to another activity. Transfers are subject to space availability and the customer is responsible for any additional fees incurred. Transfers for late enrollments are not permitted.

Transfer and Withdrawal fees will be waived for cancelations or transfers made by the City of Santa Clara. Withdrawals due to medical reasons with a doctor’s note will be subject to supervisors’ approval.

Registration is first-come, first-served. Complete the online the Registration Form, Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk Agreement. City of Santa Clara residents need to show proof of residency. Payment accepted by credit card (Payments plans are not available on mobile). 

Visit SantaClaraCA.gov/signup to sign up and login in or create your account. You can search by keyword, age, day, time, location or instructor. After creating your account, get your spot:

• Before registration opens, add classes to your wish list.
• Once registration opens, move your wish list over to your cart and complete enrollment process.

To sign up in-person, visit the Community Recreation Center, Senior Center or Youth & Teen Center to register in-person. Payments accepted by credit card, cash or check.

In April 2022, Council adopted a Parks & Recreation Cost Recovery policy.  This policy establishes subsidy levels based on community vs. individual benefit for classes, programs and rentals.
