Registration is first-come, first-served. City of Santa Clara residents must show proof of residency.

To register online, visit our Active Net site and create an account. You can search by keyword, age, day, time, location or instructor.

• Before registration opens, add classes to your wish list.
• Once registration opens, move your wish list over to your cart and complete enrollment process.
• Payment accepted by credit card (payments plans are not available on mobile). 

To register in-person, bring a completed Recreation Registration Form (PDF) to the Community Recreation Center, 969 Kiely Blvd. Paper copies are also available at the front desk. Payments accepted by credit card, cash or check.

All transfer and withdrawal requests must be received within 10 business days’ before the start of the program(s). Requests can be made online or in-person at the Community Recreation Center or Senior Center. This policy covers classes, camps, workshops and activities operated by the City of Santa Clara Parks & Recreation Department.

All withdrawal requests require 10 business days’ notice prior to the start of the activity to be considered for a refund. A $15 processing fee per transaction applies for all refunds. No refunds will be provided if the withdrawal request is made with less than 10 business days’ notice.

All transfer requests require 10 business days’ notice prior to the start of the activity to be considered for a transfer to another activity. Transfers are subject to space availability and the customer is responsible for any additional fees incurred. Transfers for late enrollments are not permitted.

Transfer and Withdrawal fees will be waived for cancelations or transfers made by the City of Santa Clara. Withdrawals due to medical reasons with a doctor’s note will be subject to supervisors’ approval.

Age: Registrants must provide their accurate date of birth upon registration. Proof of age may be required by the program and/or activity.

facilities will be made accessible to individuals with disabilities. Reasonable modifications in policies, procedures, and/or practices will be made as necessary to ensure full and equal access and enjoyment of all programs and/or activities for all individuals with a

Class Attendance: Attendance is limited to individuals enrolled in the program. Participants may not make up classes which they have missed; fees cannot be prorated or refunded for classes missed.

Course Enrollment: Registration not accepted at class. Courses not reaching their minimum enrollment will be canceled.

Waiting Lists: Wait lists are created for filled classes. You may place yourself on a wait list for a filled class online or by calling the CRC for assistance. If a space becomes available, you will be contacted.

Course Cancellations: Refunds will be granted if a course is canceled by Parks & Recreation.

Liability Waiver: To register you will need to agree to the liability waiver. Waiver is available on the registration portal.

Photographic Release: The City of Santa Clara Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to photograph and/or video tape department classes, activities, events, and participants for brochures or other publicity.

Proof of Residency: Current proof of Santa Clara residency or Santa Clara Unified School District status is required to register as a resident for all programs and Membership Cards. Applicable proof: Utility bill from the last 30 days.

In April 2022, City Council adopted a Parks & Recreation Cost Recovery policy. This policy establishes subsidy levels based on community vs. individual benefit for classes, programs and rentals.
