Event Information

Admission to the 4th of July Community Celebration is free.

Gates and security screenings open at 4 p.m. and the event officially begins at 5 p.m.

Be sure to check the list of prohibited items to know what you can and cannot bring to the venue. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to relax and enjoy an evening filled with live entertainment, kids' activities, and food trucks, all leading up to a spectacular fireworks show.

Parking Information

Free Parking in Mission College Parking Lots A-D
- Free Parking is first come, first serve and lots will close when full
- Limited ADA Parking is available in the Visitor Lot or Staff Lot E
- Motorists should exercise caution and drive safely in this area
Parking is limited, consider biking, walking, carpooling or taking transit
Bike parking available to park and lock your bike
Ride Share Drop Off Zone at the Main Entrance

Prohibited Items

The following items are not permitted at any time:

Glass bottles
Knives
Spiked clothing/jewelry
Fireworks/explosives
Firearms/ammunition
Chemical weapons, mace/pepper spray
Unmanned aerial vehicles (drones)
Pets, registered service animals only
Alcoholic beverages
Smoking/vaping
BBQs

The following items are acceptable:

Lawn chairs & picnic blankets
Coolers
Non-alcoholic beverages
Snacks
Umbrellas & canopies (no stakes)
Registered service animals

Fireworks

Great America's Fireworks will begin at 9:35pm and can best be viewed from the back of the Central Plaza or Parking Lot A.

The Santa Clara Fire and Police Departments would like to remind residents that personal fireworks are inherently dangerous and are illegal in the City of Santa Clara. Learn more about the local ordinance on fireworks and how to report illegal fireworks on the Santa Clara Police Department webpage.
