Key Responsibilities

• Check the work done by contractors, including construction materials and work approved by the City's Encroachment Permit Program
  • To request for an inspection appointment for a contractor's work in the City of Santa Clara, email engineering@santaclaraca.gov.  
• Do surveys to help plan and design Public Works improvement projects
• Help support construction work and coordinate work in the field for Public Works projects
  • To request for a pre-construction meeting or inform the City about construction work, email engineering@santaclaraca.gov.  
• Answer questions and concerns about construction in streets, sidewalks, and other public areas
• Handle cleanup of contaminated soil on City-owned property
