• Completed reviewing and mapping City sidewalks, intersections, curb ramps, and other walking features in public areas managed by the City.
• Completed public outreach by working with the City's ADA Committee, holding outreach events, and sharing updates on the City's website.
• Completed setting priorities and a plan for removing physical barriers in City buildings, parks and public walking areas. 
• Completed sharing the Public Review Draft ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for public review and comments.
• Presented the Plan at the City of Santa Clara ADA Committee.
• Presented the Plan at the City of Santa Clara City Council meeting.
• The City of Santa Clara City Council adopted the Plan. 

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the City of Santa Clara will work to make all existing facilities as accessible to the maximum extent feasible. The City will make reasonable changes to its policies, procedures, or practices when needed so people with disabilities can fully and equally use and enjoy City programs and activities.

People with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity, or related disabilities should contact the City’s ADA office at 408-615-3000 to talk about meeting access needs. To help these individuals take part in meetings, do not wear scented products to meetings at City facilities.
