The Benton-Brokaw Multimodal Crossing Feasibility Study looks at ways to reconnect Benton Street and Brokaw Road across current and future rail infrastructure. The study will evaluate and compare potential crossing options through an engineering and planning assessment. Its goal is to improve safety, connectivity, and mobility for everyone. 

The study will look at how people walk, bike, roll, drive, and use transit. It aims to improve connections to important places like jobs, schools, grocery stores, and regional transit. Bringing this link back can help residents and commuters get around more easily, reduce barriers caused by rail lines, and create a better-connected transportation system.

The project also looks at how a future crossing could help the area grow over time. This includes better access to the future BART extension and the Santa Clara Transit Center. Together, these improvements can make it easier for people to get around and stay connected in Downtown Santa Clara and nearby neighborhoods.
