MenuCreek Trail Network Expansion Master Plan
The City of Santa Clara is preparing a Master Plan (Plan) for the development and construction of three trail corridors - Calabazas Creek, Saratoga Creek, and the Hetch-Hetchy right-of-way. The primary objective of the Plan is to serve as a blueprint for the implementation of the trails.
The Plan aims to expand upon the recommendations provided in the City of Santa Clara Creek Trail Network Expansion Feasibility Study (Study) developed in 2013. The Study evaluated the viability of constructing creek trails along the three corridors and provided the next course of action to develop these trails.

The City of Santa Clara is kicking off its Bicycle Master Plan Update 2018. The City has selected Alta Planning + Design (Alta) to assist with the development of the plan. The plan will provide the City with a blueprint for investment in projects and programs that would make bicycling feel safer within Santa Clara and our community healthier.
There will be several outreach opportunities to garner resident feedback as this plan is being developed. Please stop by the Earth Day event in Central Park on April 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. so that City staff can hear more about your experiences while riding a bicycle (or what you would need to feel comfortable riding more often).
An approximate schedule for the development, community outreach events, and adoption of the plan is shown below.
Earth Day Community Event
On April 13, 2018, the Bicycle Master Plan Update 2018 held its first outreach event at the Earth Day/Arbor Day celebration in Central Park from 10am to 2pm. Over 1,000 people attended the event and over 400 people stopped by the booth. Attendees were asked to identify locations where they would like to see new or upgraded bikeways on a large map, and on a board, and suggest locations for specific bicycle infrastructure and programs. Information cards with the project website address were also handed out, which also provides a link to the online mapping tool survey that we hope everyone will take.
Your next opportunity to provide feedback on the Bicycle Master Plan Update 2018 will be at the Health and Wellness Fair on May 18th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fremont Park. City staff is looking forward to speaking to the community at this event about this important project.
