The City of Santa Clara's Sewer System Management Plan contains all elements currently set by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB). 

The State requires all sewer agencies to develop an SSMP establishing methods and programs to meet specific goals relating to the effective operation of sewer collection systems.

Staff revised the SSMP to comply with California's SWRCB requirement it every 5 years; this update to the SSMP supersedes that which was approved by Council on April 7, 2020 (Resolution No. 20-8833): 2019 Sewer System Management Plan (PDF)
