Report Water Waste

Use ONE of these methods:

• Complete the online Water Waste Report
• Report water waste using the MySantaClara mobile app.
• Call Water & Sewer Utilities at 408-615-2000 during regular business hours.

Use only one of the above to report each case of water waste. All methods go to the same team of City staff. 

Water Uses That Are Never Allowed

• Outdoor watering between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• Outdoor watering during or within 48 hours of rain that can be measured
• Outdoor watering that creates runoff onto sidewalks and gutters
• Washing any vehicle without an automatic shut-off valve
• Washing any paved surface like driveways or sidewalks 
• Filling fountains or other decorative water features that are not recirculating
• Water waste from faulty plumbing or irrigation system
• Watering landscapes of newly constructed homes and buildings in a way that conflicts with regulations of the California Building Standards Commission and the Department of Housing and Community Development
