Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) serves in an advisory role to the City Council on matters relative to the needs of bicyclists and pedestrians in Santa Clara. Its goal is to encourage recreational bicycling, commuter bicycling, and pedestrian activities by promoting safe, convenient, well-designed facilities.

The BPAC consists of seven members. Members must either live or work within the City of Santa Clara. Terms last four years and run from July 1 through June 30. Committee membership is approved by the City Council.

Meeting Information:

  • BPAC meetings are held on the fourth Monday
    • In January, March, June, August, and October.
    • At City Hall, Council Chambers.
  • The meetings begin at 4:00 p.m. and are open to the public. 
  • Information including agendas, minutes and audio recording are posted online, at the City Clerk's office, or available through Department of Public Works, Traffic Engineering Division at 408-615-3000.
