NURC creates a forum for ongoing communication and problem-solving among City officials, neighborhoods, property owners, and Santa Clara University (SCU) officials and students.

Meeting Information

Meetings are held three times a year on Monday evenings during the SCU academic year and are open to the public. Agendas are posted online, at the City Clerk's office, and are also available through the Planning Division at 408-615-2450.

Committee Members & City Staff

When NURC was established in 1990, it originally only had City Councilmembers serving as official committee members. On April 8, 2025, the City Council restructured NURC to be a body consisting of:

Two City Councilmembers
Two SCU staff members
One SCU student
One Resident from the Old Quad neighborhood, adjacent to the University
One property owner/landlord representative

Door-to-door solicitation without a permit

Vehicles illegally parked on public streets
