Definitions
Advanced Payment: A payment required to be made by BAHC to the City, in an amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of the Event Deployment Cost line item set forth in the League Event Agreement.
Incurred: Costs incurred by the City/Stadium Authority that are submitted to the Bay Area Host Committee for reimbursement.
Reimbursed: Payments received from the Bay Area Host Committee for invoiced expenses.
Pending: Invoices under review and pending processing.
Planning/Training: Costs for City/Stadium Authority staff (police, fire, public works, emergency operations, etc.) related to planning, coordination, and preparation for Super Bowl LX and FIFA World Cup 2026 events.
Event Deployment: Public safety and security personnel across all essential operational areas—including law enforcement, emergency response, crowd and traffic management, cyber and physical security, intelligence, and other activities necessary to implement the City/Stadium Authority’s Public Safety Plan.
Equipment: Public safety, transportation management and related equipment in connection with City/Stadium Authority required and necessary public safety and transportation support services for Super Bowl LX and FIFA World Cup stadium events.
Note: The City/Stadium Authority incurred planning costs prior to executing reimbursement agreements, including about $24,845 for FIFA World Cup 2026 preparations and $124,086 for Super Bowl LX. These costs, which spread across Community Development, Police, and Office of Emergency Management, covered early planning meetings, research into operational impacts, as well as a review of Super Bowl 50 documents and costs that occurred after Levi’s Stadium was announced as the venue, but before interim funding agreements were in place. Under the FWC26 Assignment and Assumption Agreement and proposed SBLX League Event Agreement, these costs may be covered through surplus government funding after BAHC’s obligations are met; otherwise, they will be allocated to the Stadium Authority, consistent with past major Levi’s Stadium events.
